Very good food & sides. Conveniently located on bypass in front of Jr High. New building is supercool with plenty of seating. They now serve French Fries, good burgers too
Very good food, reminds me of food I ate while living in NC. This has become my favorite BBQ place in TN. Also the people who work here are very nice and friendly. My favorite from here is the shoulder slices and the green beans are to die for.
We saw the smoke and decided to stop and eat thinking they smoked their own barbecue. Meat was loaded in a very sweet sauce -not a good flavor. I guess the smoke was a bon fire in the back? Disappointing meal that we could not eat
Same pre-packaged frozen Bar B Que my high school served years ago. The pulled pork is swimming in a sloppy joe flavored sauce. Save your money and buy a frozen meal at Kroger then throw it in a microwave. Because that’s all they do at Big Eds. They do not make any of the menu items. They even go so far as to maintain a fire behind the building to deceive the public into thinking its a real BBQ joint. At the very least they could light a BBQ scented candle.
I have tried Big Eds twice now because everyone raves about their food. The first time I ordered the shoulder plate. The pork shoulder was extremely dry and tough, and the potatoe salad had barely cooked potatoes. Because everyone said they are usually very good I went back. This time I tried a burger and fries. Another big mistake. The burger was dry the fries were very dry and terrible. Even my mother couldn't eat them! My sister raved about the pork chops and they were very dry too. Don't know what y'all are used to eating that would make you think Big Eds is good barbeque but trust me, that is not good barbeque!!!!
